February’s Microsoft Xbox Game Pass additions are sure to excite subscribers - Final Fantasy 15 and Wolfenstein: Youngblood have made their way to the monthly game service. Though both games received lukewarm ratings from fans and critics compared to other installments in their respective series, these two games represent an excellent addition to Microsoft’s Game Pass collection.
Game Pass includes numerous excellent games, from Mass Effect to Obsidian’s latest game, The Outer Worlds. Players can subscribe for a nominal fee and play all the Xbox games they want - or pay a little more and play the collection of PC games Microsoft offers as well. The collection expands and contracts monthly and games sometimes disappear, but players receive a 20 percent discount on purchased Game Pass games. With the upcoming release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, players can dive into the expanded Final Fantasy world before they sacrifice any semblance of a life outside their PlayStation 4 consoles and commit fully to defeating Sephiroth again.
February adds three new titles to Microsoft Game Pass, according to a new announcement from the Xbox Game Pass Twitter. The first two are especially noteworthy. Both Wolfenstein: Youngblood and Final Fantasy 15 come to the service on February 6. Final Fantasy 15 represented massive sales for Square Enix, but fell into disrepair after game director Hajime Tabata left and multiple expansions were canceled. Despite this, it gives players an excellent story and decent gameplay - and something with which to kill time until the next game releases. Wolfenstein caters to the urge nearly everyone has at some point to blow up some Nazis.
On February 13, robot-filled puzzler Death Squared launches on Game Pass. Unfortunately, with all good news comes bad. At the end of the month, players lose access to Pumped BMX. Jackbox Party Pack 2, Epic Mickey, Rage, and Shadows of the Tomb Raider.
Xbox Game Pass includes all new Microsoft releases, but it also has many classics that players can enjoy. Currently, Game Pass subscribers can play The Witcher 3, numerous Fallout games, Grand Theft Auto 5, Pillars of Eternity, and more. The latest additions represent more added value to the service, which already gave players numerous reasons to take advantage of it. It’s unclear how long either game will be available on Game Pass, but games tend to stick around for a while. So this represents a good opportunity for players to try those games if they haven’t already done so.
