In Fear the Walking Dead season 5, episode 10, Morgan (Lennie James) faced his past while Grace (Karen David) questioned her future. The episode also served as a major test for Dwight (Austin Amelio) and his resolve to become a better man.

The latest episode of FTWD pays homage to Dawn of the Dead by sending Morgan and Grace into a mall to fulfill a man’s dying wish by finding his zombified body and burying him under the stars. While spending time together, the two confront their personal problems, such as Morgan’s attachment to the memory of his family and Grace’s fear. After spending a great deal looking for medical equipment that can give Grace a definitive answer about her health, Grace instead decides that she would rather not know what’s going to happen to her.

Meanwhile, Dwight has an encounter with one of Logan’s men, who tries to force Dwight into revealing the location of Polar Bear’s oilfields. After overpowering the man and taking him prisoner, Dwight allows him to leave with his life. Morgan, Dwight, and Grace all come away from the episode unscathed, but Morgan clearly still has issues to work out, which becomes clear when he drives away from Grace. Here are the questions that need to be answered after Fear the Walking Dead season 5, episode 10, “210 Words Per Minute”.

5. What Will The Man Who Attacked Dwight Do Now?

The man who attacked Dwight in Fear the Walking Dead season 5, episode 10 was dead-set on helping Logan find Polar Bear’s oilfields, despite the fact that he didn’t know what they were needed for. As a self-admitted “asshole,” the man viewed Dwight as a person who was similar to him, which is why he was so surprised when Dwight offered him mercy. It was Dwight’s hope that he would seek redemption. Where he will go from here isn’t revealed, but the possibility remains that he could return as a friend, and not as an enemy.

4. Is Fear the Walking Dead Teasing A New Romance?

Morgan, who has been a part of The Walking Dead universe since the pilot episode of the main series, has never had a love interest on the show. This isn’t surprising though, especially since Morgan still loves his wife, Jenny, who died several years ago. However, recent episodes of Fear the Walking Dead have indicated that Morgan is now in a position to move on. The repeated focus on the chemistry between Morgan and Grace suggests that Fear the Walking Dead is setting up a romance between the two characters.

3. Is Grace Dying?

Grace experienced a scare when she passed out in the mall. Although she believes it was just a symptom of low blood sugar, it could be that the real cause was the radiation poisoning from earlier in Fear the Walking Dead season 5. The radioactive zombies were a highlight of the series, and it would be fitting for them to have created a long-set problem. Grace passed up a chance to find out if anything was wrong, so her fate remains up in the air for now.

2. Why Did Morgan Leave?

Grace was visibly crushed by Morgan’s decision to drive off in the closing minutes of Fear the Walking Dead season 5, episode 10. Morgan, too, was clearly troubled by parting ways with Grace. What inspired Morgan to leave? It appeared that he was making a conscious - and successful - effort to move on. It’s possible that if Morgan is indeed developing an attraction to Grace, their relationship is bothering him more than he lets on. He may thus be putting distance between them out of loyalty to his wife, or he could just be unwilling to move forward with Grace.

1. What’s Going On With Al?

Of course, Morgan’s given reason for leaving is in order to meet up with Al (Maggie Grace), who’s on her own and needs backup. Though it looks like Morgan is just using Al as an excuse to run off, there must be a legitimate reason why Morgan would say she needs help. All of which raises the question of where Al went and, if she needed backup, why did she go alone in the first place? This is likely something that Fear the Walking Dead will tackle before season 5 is over.
