Another Marvel hero may have been revealed in a new The Falcon and The Winter Soldier set photo. The Disney+ original series is set to be the first from Marvel Studios as they expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the small screen this year. Picking up after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are returning to star as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes respectively for six episodes that finally put the focus on them.

Although Sam and Bucky are the leads in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, they will be joined by many other characters both old and new. Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) is returning to help the duo, while Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl) is set to appear as well. Many have expected he’ll be the main villain, but other theories suggest he could be working with the heroes. And, even though Sam was chosen by Steve Rogers to be the next Captain America, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will instead have John Walker (Wyatt Russell) be the one to hold the shield and take on the name based on recent posters.

Thanks to a new post by Stan on Instagram, another Marvel hero may now be confirmed to appear in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Stan shared an image of Mackie, Russell, an unknown actor, and himself on set wearing heavy coats that conceal most of their costumes. The boots for Falcon’s new costume and portions of Walker’s Cap suit can be seen, but the coat of the mysterious fourth cast member is not as concealing. His coat is not zipped up and reveals a star-shaped logo on the black suit he’s wearing. Even though the actor is not known, it appears this is the first look at Lemar Hoskins aka Battlestar.

The possibility of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier including Battlestar is one that has been rumored for a while. When Walker became Captain America in the comics, Hoskins - Walker’s longtime friend and fellow superpowered soldier - was selected to be his sidekick. This comic history led many to wonder if Hoskins would suit up as Battlestar in the series after set photos revealed he might have a role based on a family flower shop. If this actor is playing Hoskins, then this photo appears to confirm an updated Battlestar costume design and that he’ll be part of the action.

The inclusion of Battlestar doesn’t just give The Falcon and The Winter Soldier another super soldier, but this photo in particular means that Sam and Bucky will share a scene with Walker and Hoskins while all of them are suited up. It isn’t known if this is a friendly encounter or one that will lead to a fight between the two pairs, but either option is enticing to consider. There’s always the possibility that additional set photos could provide context for this meeting. Otherwise, fans will have to wait and see if the trailers for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier include Battlestar in action with the new Captain America.
