AMC has announced that season 3 of Fear the Walking Dead will hit TV screens on Sunday, June 4 with back-to-back episodes. The season’s first half will consist of eight episodes, with the first half finale taking place over back-to-back episodes airing on July 9. That’s eight episodes worth of zombie mayhem packed into just six weeks. And it’s only a couple months away. The Walking Dead wrapped up season 7 with a brutal showdown between Negan and Rick in Alexandria, setting up even more warfare to come in season 8....

Today Facebook has added yet another app to its growing portfolio. Facebook Groups is its latest standalone app with features dedicated to managing and interacting with groups on the iPhone. Unlike its approach to Facebook Messenger, however, the social network says it will not remove existing group features from the primary Facebook app. “Follow your groups here or on Facebook, whichever is easier for you.” If you are a frequent user of Facebook’s Groups feature, the dedicated app does allow you to do a few interesting things....

Filmmakers Chad Stahelski and David Leitch (John Wick) have discussed collaborating for a future project. During an exclusive Screen Rant interview, Leitch spoke about the duo’s long-time friendship, along with his new film Hobbs & Shaw. Early in Stahelski’s career, he served as the stunt double for the late Brandon Lee in The Crow. The Federal Aviation Administration’s investigation into whether airline passengers can be allowed to use tablets, eBook readers and laptops throughout a flight is apparently looking hopeful, as The New York Times cited an insider saying approval would likely be granted this year. This will doubtless come as a relief to Alec Baldwin, who was once kicked off an AA flight for refusing to switch off his iPad. The iPad was approved for flight-deck use in 2011, with cabin crew also permitted to use them throughout a flight for service information, so it’s looking like a done deal (just one done at the speed of the bureaucratic machine)....

Facebook’s efforts to compete head-on with Snapchat have been incredibly clear thanks to features like Stories. Now, the company is planning to revive its unpopular ‘Nearby Friends’ feature with a new Snapchat-like interface. While the Facebook location sharing feature has never been too popular, the company hopes this redesign could spur new interest. For those unfamiliar, Snapchat includes a built-in location sharing feature known as Snap Map. This allows users to opt-in to sharing their location and having it displayed on a map for followers to see....

Today, Facebook has introduced the world to Facebook Pay, a new payment system which will be integrated with Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. The social networking site, notably known as the originator of the famous Area 51 raid meme and subsequent party, has already employed payment methods in the past through its website and messenger service, allowing businesses to charge customers for services as well as offering person-to-person payments, but now these services will be rendered across all the company’s owned platforms....
