After Dora and the Lost City of Gold, director James Bobin hopes to be part of future installments. During an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, the British filmmaker discussed the franchise’s potential moving forward. Starring Isabela Moner as Dora the Explorer, Bobin’s latest feature is based on Nickelodeon’s popular animated television series. In spirit, the big screen adventure adaption is a continuation of the Dora storyline, as the main character’s life shifts from the jungle to a California high school and back to the jungle....

The Synergy Q2 2008 Mobile Handset Market Share report confirms the US smartphone market posted strong double-digit growth, with the iPhone continuing to break records, shipping over a million units in three consecutive quarters. “Even with Q2 shipments dropping in anticipation of the new 3G iPhone, Apple retained the second place spot for the first half of the year with Motorola a close third,” the researchers said. Netflix has revealed the first-look images and cast for its upcoming animated series, Fast & Furious: Spy Racers. The street-racing family drama turned-international thriller franchise is getting a CGI animated spin-off show, and it’s set to begin streaming on December 26. Yet another film shot on Apple’s iPhone is receiving an award today. The Guardian reports that Charlotte Prodger has been awarded the 2018 Turner Prize for her short film entitled “Bridgit,” which was shot on the Scottish countryside. At a ceremony in London today, Prodger was announced as the award’s recipient.
